Buying is Your Investment - #Money

What you pay for says a lot about you.

When you buy houses, cars and even mattresses, you call it an investment.

Every penny you spend is an investment into your favorite products, shops and corporations, even the cities, states and countries you buy them from.

You ultimately have a choice which companies stay in business and which products continue to be produced.

This applies to everything you can potentially spend money on. Restaurants, Music and Movies, Sports Tickets and Apparel, your shoes and clothing, are all choices you can make.

It's hard to believe, sometimes, that companies give a damn about you. Some of them blatantly don't care, some of them will say anything to get you to pay them. Some of them genuinely care about your opinions and want to provide a service that honestly makes you happy.

You can do a little research on your favorite brands. Treat your money with the same respect as an investor would. Ask yourself if that company deserves your support. Do they adhere to qualities that you personally believe in? Do they pay employees well? Is the quality of their product worth the price they ask of you?

Your "vote" matters. Even a dollar here and there can be the difference between profit and loss. Your dollar or two can be the difference between success or failure. You probably won't get far yelling at the suits in the board room but, you can still say it with your money.

You can apply those "Support Local Farmers" and "Buy Local" ideals even to large corporations. Respect your hard earned money buy making sure it goes to people places and things that you care about.

Cheers,
Josh
